Hi students!

I hope that you are having a positive experience learning from home at the moment! Over the last 2 weeks, you’ve developed your skills in listening and singing. Don’t forget to upload your video of yourself singing along to Lean on Me, so that it can be included in our school’s Virtual Choir video! More details here: Lean on Me Virtual Choir.

This week I’ve got some fun music activities for you, all focusing on playing music.

Week 3 tasks

The first task you could choose is to make and decorate your own drum! You can use whatever you can find in your recycling bin. Here are some ideas for making tin can drums.

The second task is that you practice playing an instrument that you have at home. Some people have a guitar, piano, keyboard or recorder at home. If you do have an instrument, spend some time experimenting on it! You never know what you might be able to play if you just spend some time mucking around.

The third task gets you playing along with a YouTube video. Below is the Deteggtive Anderson video for you to try playing along with. Choose what you are going to do on each coloured egg, and have a go! You can do it by yourself, or get a brother, sister, parent or carer to play along with you! It’s a lot of fun. There are more levels on YouTube if you master Level 1.

Have a great week playing music!!

Mrs Britton 🙂
